Susie Nelsen

For over 30 years, Susie Nelsen has gathered a wealth of knowledge through her work with both children and the elderly, which she calls her “Bookends.” Her experience spans from the classroom, as a teacher and interpreter for hearing impaired children, to her work with Hospice where she has cared for her elderly patients and their families through their last season together. Her experience became very personal when she assisted and cared for her own parents through their later years.

Susie also brings tremendous wisdom and knowledge of the real estate field through her over 20 years of real estate investing and personal transactions with her husband, and in more recent years as a licensed Realtor and consultant to her clients.

Susie continues to be an advocate for her “Bookends” by helping to feed malnourished children around the world and by volunteering for Hospice. Through Hospice work and assisting many of her Real Estate clients, she has observed the repeatedly sad scenario of seniors with loose ends untied, and the many unanswered questions and difficulties this leaves for them, and for their loved ones as they attempt to settle an estate. She presents readers with the tools and understanding they need to effectively get both their personal and financial affairs in order, then get on with living full lives. This is a huge blessing for all involved!

Susie believes in, and lives by, her own personal quotes: “Life is so much more about our journey than our destination. But when we get there, good choices made along the way make us glad we’ve arrived.” Her work focuses on practical, yet simple, strategies to enable you to “Live life on purpose, not by accident!”
