James Stephenson

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Jim Stephenson is first and foremost a husband and a father. Since his kids are mostly grown, he now has time for some midlife crises, one of which has resulted in this book.

After following inner urges and moving his family across the country for new employment, he found that he hated his job, but felt trapped by the need for continued income. (Seven mouths to feed, bodies to clothe, and a roof to protect them don’t come cheaply). That discontent led first to an education in real estate investing. (Don’t believe the get-rich-quick schemes, but this book will show you the keys to getting rich over time).

Eventually real estate investing lead him to the broader field of personal growth and development. He even learned how to lose weight and live a healthier, less stressful life.

A mechanical engineer by education and a trainer by employment and practice, Jim has conducted training in the U.S., Canada and Mexico. He is also a repeat presenter at conferences for the Association for Talent Development and has trained in technical systems as well as personal development skills.

Jim has also founded three companies while maintaining full-time employment, more than quadrupling his net worth in a five-year period while finding tremendous fulfillment in sharing the lessons he has learned on this path. He is also forming an organization to provide support for boys who may not have the benefit of a positive male role model in their lives called MyStepdad.org.
