ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Through writing about being a migrant worker and financial educator, Geraldine Isa-al, or Gee, as she is widely known, helps to raise awareness about personal finance for her fellow migrant workers.

After earning her accountancy degree in Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila, she worked for a fire protection company in the Philippines, then joined an accounting firm in Singapore. Gee has always been aware, however, that working abroad is just temporary and does not guarantee financial stability.

Gee lives and works in Singapore but advocates personal financial literacy. Aside from giving talks on how to be a good steward of God’s wealth, she also actively serves in a Catholic charismatic community called Light of Jesus Community Singapore.
