ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Dr. Miral Hassan is one of today’s leading professional women, a Dentist, Orthodontics Specialist, and Consultant. She enjoys her work and loves to empower others to achieve and succeed. 

A native of Alexandria, Egypt, Dr. Hassan graduated from the Faculty of Dentistry, Alexandria University, Egypt, in 1988 with a Bachelor’s Degree of Dental Medicine and Oral Surgery DDS, with Honors. Dr. Hassan had a passionate interest in the field of Orthodontics and achieved a Dental Master’s Degree in Orthodontics DMD in 1997, graduating first in her class. More recently, in 2014, she was awarded the title of First Consultant by the Egyptian Dental Syndicate, A.R.E. She is a member of the Egyptian Dental Society, Egyptian Orthodontic Dental Association.

In more than twenty-nine years of experience in Dentistry, she has helped thousands upon thousands of patients to confidently let their inner beauty shine, through a healthier smile!

Challenging herself, she moved to British Columbia, Canada, and upon completion of further studies through the Canadian Dental Board NDEB, National Dental Examining Board of Canada, she received her Canadian License which enabled her to commence her practice as a Dentist in Canada. She is now a Member of the BCDA, British Columbia Dental Association, a member of the American Academy for Oral and Systemic Health AAOSH, and got The Title of Leading Physician of the world, for the demonstration of leadership and achievements in the field of Dentistry 2018.

Dr. Hassan proudly opened her own practice, the PowerSmile Dental Center, where she promotes Health and Wellness through Dentistry. While studying for her Canadian license, Dr. Hassan was introduced to the BaleDoneen Method which connects the patient to their overall health. Having completed the preceptorship course in the BaleDoneen method, Dr. Hassan is now equipped with the clinical tools to implement and promote this method within her practice. She cares for and respects her patients highly and is committed, above all else, to providing outstanding, highly individualized care to each of them, providing education and the tools to help them lead a healthy confident life while always creating awareness of the definite correlation between Oral Hygiene, Gum Disease and the overall health of the body and creating the PowerSmile.
