ABOUT THE AUTHORS

Dr. CHEN Deah Chien, born in Singapore, is Harvard Law educated serial entrepreneur. She has now undertaken a global initiative to bring her newest venture, avocado ice cream and smoothies, to the world. Not only are hospitals, schools craving for this new healthy product, but also health conscious consumer worldwide. Dr. Chen is an accountant and lawyer by training, initially. She has over 25 years of working experience in the accounting, legal and banking professions. Over the years, she has branched out and was trained in multidisciplinary fields such as public health and nutrition. She studied as a special student at Tufts University Friedman School of Nutrition and also at Harvard School of Public Health. She is an alumni of National University of Singapore School of Accountancy, Boston University Schools of Law & Theology, Harvard Law School, Vanderbilt Law School, Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health, and Imperial College of London (where she obtained her Ph.D.). She has worked as a Chaplain Intern at Boston Medical Center, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and Hebrew Rehabilitation Center for the Aged in Boston. She worked briefly at the Red Cross, Global Unit in HIV/AIDS, in Geneva the summer of 2003. Dr. Chen’s interests are in nutrition, healing and meditation.

Dr. Chen is a vegetarian over 20 years. She loves all kinds of vegetables, fruits and nuts. She believes the human body is capable of healing itself when one eats the right food. With clean air, clean water, and the right food into the body, there is no reason why one cannot be healthy with regular exercises.

Dr. Chen has lived in Singapore, England, United States, Canada, Hong Kong, Israel and Switzerland. She is an author, consultant, and international speaker, having published and presented papers in Singapore, New York, Hong Kong, Shanghai, London and Prague. Education is the best tool to enlighten oneself. To be super healthy and super wealthy, one must think holistically — have a positive mind-set, a healthy lifestyle, eat the right food with the best nutrition, and be happy. Achieve the impossible. Nothing is impossible. You are the product of what you eat and do.
