ABOUT THE AUTHORS

David Bunney is known as “The Lifestyle Mentor™” because of his driving passion for helping people reach their full potential and achieve the lifestyle of their choice.

An accomplished entrepreneur, speaker and mentor, he is based in Perth, Western Australia. David studied business and entrepreneurship at Edith Cowan University and received his diploma from the Australian Institute of Company Directors. He completes ongoing formal business and professional study to remain on the cutting edge of technology and business innovation.

Through his travels, he facilitates training workshops for entrepreneurs, corporate clients and government agencies. His acclaimed unique style of delivering education based on real life experience includes the topics of professional development, business planning and marketing. David serves as a mentor to startup business owners, and is credited with countless success testimonials.

In his career, he has personally pioneered well over a dozen startup business ventures, spanning the industries of oil and gas, mining, hospitality, property development, e-commerce, technology, advertising, marketing, training and education.

Following a trade background with young enthusiasm his first real commercial venture launched an oil and gas pipeline-construction firm. Subsequent businesses ranged from the traditional, such as tavern and restaurants, through to the innovative ventures of online marketing, motor vehicle wrapped advertising and startup business services.

Two memorable ventures include founding a public company as CEO and being appointed Chairman of the Due Diligence committee to float the company as an initial public offering (IPO) on the Australian Stock Exchange (ASX). These were exciting times during the early Internet technology boom. The second major learning event he recalls with vivid memory was surviving his bankruptcy, losing everything, and then successfully starting over from scratch. He says of this time, “What a valuable learning privilege it is to have made more mistakes than most!”

These real life experiences have contributed well to develop his “Startup Business Series” resources that help others commence business opportunities correctly.

David is an active participant in community service with Rotary International. His tenacity and commitment have led to many accomplishments, earning him respect and admiration from the community and peers. He is particularly devoted to promoting youth leadership.
